TMFF Talks with Dave Roper

Updated: Apr 1, 2020

At TMFF 2019 we were honoured to screen the World Premiere of Motorcycle Man, Daniel Lovering's film about motorcycle racing legend Dave Roper. Roper, has been racing every single year since 1972 and over that time has competed in over 2000 races and walked away with a win in over half of those. In addition to that, in 1984 he became the first American to win at the prestigious Isle of Man TT. To say that he's a race track legend is an understatement.

We caught up with Roper in August at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park ahead of the film's Premiere and what we found is that despite all of his incredible accomplishments and the fans that were clearly awestruck to see him, Rope is one down-to-earth and humble man.

And for some background on the gorgeous 1967 MV Agusta factory-works motorcycle that Roper was racing that weekend...
